About Me

My name is Gordon Reisdorf and I have been teaching English full-time since 1995.  I have worked in South Korea, Canada and now in Japan.  My range of teaching endeavours and experiences are quite varied, which is common for English teachers.  I have taught in language schools, elementary schools, universities, company classes, trained teachers, managed schools, written a children’s book on learning English, and published journal articles on second language acquisition.

I also have a CELTA (TESL) Certificate, a B.A. (History) from Simon Fraser University in Canada, and a Master of Applied Linguistics from the University of Southern Queensland in Australia.

I have been teaching English in a university in Japan since 2002.  I am married and have three beautiful, young children.  I enjoy playing with my kids, studying and teaching the Bible, playing the guitar and travelling.
